Family Medicine and Community Health Research Support Services
University of Minnesota (UMN) Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) Faculty, Residents, and Fellows If you are a DFMCH member (faculty, resident, fellow) with a research or scholarly project, here are services and processes to support your work.
- For requests below, please ensure you have registered for an account in the DFMCH Portal to proceed.
- Project Collaboration, Recruitment Support and/or IRB Support Letters: If you want to collaborate with a clinician or clinic on a research project, need recruitment assistance, or require a UMN IRB support letter, please submit a proposal form under “My Proposals”.
- Research Consultation: To schedule a consultation to discuss project design, analysis, and logistics with the Research Services Hub and/or the Primary Care Research Learning Network (PCRLN) teams, please submit a request under “My Consults”.
For Researchers External to the DFMCH If you do not have a DFMCH appointment (e.g., faculty, adjunct faculty) and would like to request support for a research or scholarly project, please review the options below. Email pcrln@umn.umn with questions.
- Recruitment Support or Research Collaboration: To request recruitment support or propose a collaboration, please complete the Recruitment and Collaboration Request form.
Letter of Support for Grant Submissions: If you need a letter of support for a grant submission, please complete the Letter of Support form.
- Note: to ensure timely review, submit requests at least 1 week in advance for non-clinic projects or 6-8 weeks in advance for projects involving clinic collaboration.
